SOCCER SECTION
On Tuesday, 17 th of January Mr. Lettis started the sixth class soccer training in the Glen Resource Centre. 17 boys from sixth class went to training after school. We walked down as a pack and then got changed into our gear.
Mr. Lettis started with a warm up and then arranged 2 teams and started a 45 minute match where the teams were unfair (no offence Mr. Lettis) . The score was 6-3 to my team because we were good (see, team encouragement).
He said afterwards that ‘it was a great display of skill’ and it would be a very hard decision to pick out the final 8 players for squad. The following week we did the exact same thing except Mr. Foley came along for the ride (he ruined the experience) but it was still fun nonetheless and the opposing team won because they learned from last week.

HURLING SECTION
Every Tuesday and Thursday after school Mr. Horgan does hurling training with the 5 th and 6 th classes in the Glen Resource Centre or the Tank Field. Many boys from both classes go training every week. The Sciath Na Scoile tournament is starting at the end of February or the start of March. There will be a team of up to 30 people with 15 starting and a few substitutes in case someone gets chopped up on field.

GAELIC FOOTBALL SECTION
In early September, Mr. Horgan, Mr. O’ Mahony and Mr. Mullins did Gaelic training with the 5 th and 6th classes on Tuesdays and Thursday. Mr. Horgan trained the outfield while Mr. O’ Mahony trained Frank the super keeper. The team lost in the semi finals sadly, to Passage Star of The Sea.
Iftikhaar Haque and Frank Sobelewski.
