School Ethos
We seek to foster the intellectual, spiritual and personal development of all students within a supportive yet challenging environment. The school respects cultural diversity and strives to promote equality and to provide an environment where all have the freedom and opportunity to achieve their full potential.
St. Patrick’s B.N.S. Motto
‘Ó gach duine a dhícheall – From each person their best’ is a fitting motto for our school and was chosen by students, teachers and parents. Our school community is made up of many different groups of people working together to achieve one common goal. This is to give the most important people in our family, our boys the very best of educational opportunity. We feel that the motto highlights our expectations of our pupils with regards to all aspects of their education. It also symbolises the Trojan work that is continuously put into the school by all those who are part of the Saint Patrick’s Family.
Mission Statement
St. Patrick’s B.N.S. aims to assist in the full development of each child at his own rate and to his full potential, providing for the moral, spiritual, intellectual, physical and social education of the child in a secure, supportive yet challenging environment.
The school recognises the key role of parents – as part of the wider school community – to participate fully in this task. We value the good home/school links that exist, as a positive instrument for the reinforcement of pupils’ continuous good behaviour.
Schedule of a Catholic School
A Roman Catholic school aims at promoting the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the person of the pupil: intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and with other people.
The school models and promotes a philosophy of life inspired by belief in God and in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Catholic school provides religious education for the pupils in accordance with the doctrines, practices and tradition of the Roman Catholic Church and promotes the formation of the pupils in the Catholic Faith. We welcome children of other faiths and none.
