Home School Community Liaison

My name is Amanda Duke and I am the Home School Community Liaison Coordinator for St. Patrick’s B.N.S. My role is to establish and build partnerships between parents and the school and I am very much looking forward to working with our parents over the coming years.

Activities undertaken by the HSCL coordinator include:

• Home visitations.
• Organisation of in-school activities and courses for parents.
• Advising and supporting parents on education-related issues.
• The promotion of a stimulating home learning environment.
• Meeting with community interests relevant to the education and welfare of pupils in the school.
• Encouraging co-operation between home, school and community interests.

Your child will be involved in a number of exciting activities in school and at times you will get the opportunity to work alongside them and courses and classes will be available for parents too.
