St. Aidan's basketball training
One Friday afternoon 15 lucky boys including me went to St. Aidans school to play basketball.
After we got called to the bench outside Mr. Foleys class, we left by the back door and went to the bus stop and waited for the 207 bus to come and luckily it came fairly quickly. We had been told to bring 2 euro and 10 cents for the bus but some people had completely forgotten so Mr. Horgan had to loan them 2 euro and 10 cents each.
When we finally arrived we got kitted up and got on the court ready to play. They showed us a couple of drills that they get their school basketball team to do. Then we did some shooting drills and finally we played a couple of matches and to top it all off we got free cookies and drinks. We even got a free basketball each to take home. I now practise everyday on my shooting and dribbling.
This was a fun time because I love playing basketball.
