          My Football Club
Hi my name is Rhys Olotu and I play for Mayfield United, who I think are one of the best soccer clubs in Cork City. I usually don’t start but I’m always full of energy when I come on to catch the opponent off guard. My assigned position is usually striker and I usually wear number 9, 11, or 14 jersey, which is green and black.
 My three trainer’s names are Alan, John and Rob. They always give me constructive criticism to let me know what I can do better and they’re never mean about it. This helps me to improve my skills and overall good play. We never thought we’d be playing in Turner’s Cross Stadium (where Cork City F.C. play) last year in the Eddie Healy Cup final. Even though we lost 7-1 to Douglas Hall, we got really cool medals and were just happy to play there.

 My three best friends at Mayfield are probably Oran, Jewel, and Kian. I usually get along well with the three, so we understand each other on the pitch. I really like playing there and if you’re ever considering joining soccer, you won’t be disappointed if you join Mayfield United. Our grounds are past the Mayfield Church then take a left.
